The richness of filmmaking - Researchers' Night with LEMMA
Last week, the annual Researchers' Night took place across the Czech Republic, and once again came around to our LEMMA laboratory.
Looking back at the 24th festival
The 24th Film Festival of Faculty of Informatics MU is successfully over!
Hundreds of visitors arrived on the 17th of May 2024 to see 13 competitive and 6 bonus films. The Audience Award went to the comedy "Před očima" by Šarka Portešová and Martin Bertek, the Jury Award to the dystopian animation "V tomto domě zemřu" by Adriana Bendžalová.
Moreover, this year's festival was full of interesting things. Due to the reconstruction of the Scala, it was screened only at the FI, however, in as many as 7 rooms! The audience voting was also unique, as for the first time an online system was used through QR codes. The introduction was also out of the ordinary, where the Dean of the Faculty spoke live in front of the audience. And the ending was unexpected, where a (successful) marriage proposal took place alongside the closing speech.
