After the Christmas break, Lemma is reaching out once again to wish you a happy new year! We are back in full swing, and the work of our students is already paying off.

We are therefore happy to announce that the film submissions for the 26th Film festival of the Faculty of Informatics at Masaryk University are now open!

This message is for everyone who makes amateur films or is at least thinking about it. If you are not sure whether filmmaking is right for you and you are a student at Masaryk University, the courses PV113 Audiovisual Production and PV174 Lab Project – Electronic and Multimedia Applications are open to anyone interested in film, filmmaking, or film festivals.

How can you actually become part of the 26th FFFI MU? It’s simple, you just need to complete these three steps:

  1. Make a short film up to 8 minutes long, there are no limits on genre or format
  2. Submit your film and successfully pass the first round of selection
  3. Show the world what you can do - your film will be seen by the public and a professional jury, who can help you win exciting prizes

If you have already made a film, don’t worry. You can submit your work up to three years after its release.

Don’t forget to submit your film by April 5, 2026! You can find the complete rules on our website: http://festival.fi.muni.cz

Screenings of the chosen films will take place on May 13, 2026, at Cinema City Velký Špalíček in the center of Brno and at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University. Both submission and participation in the festival are completely free of charge.

For more information, follow us here and on social media (Facebook, Instagram).

Submissions are now open — so submit your film too!
